Hey buddy!
We’re bound to have some misconceptions and misunderstandings about stuff in life and today Imma share a very ridiculous misconception I had.
When I was really young, I’d been taught that a heart looks like this from emojis, cartoons, my surroundings etc.
Naturally, whenever I thought about the human heart, I always visualized that it looks something like a ♡ shape. All of that naive thinking stopped when I’d made a very tragic discovery about two years ago in one of my high school Biology classes.
My teacher showed us an image of a human heart and I remember asking my deskmate what the heck was that.
As my teacher started to explain about this very wonderful human organ, my world froze for a long time and I stubbornly refused to believe that this is what my heart looks like.
After a very long time, I’d finally come to accept and appreciate the beauty of this wonderful organ that God has created for us human beings in order to live and thrive on the earth. I was grateful that it has kept me alive for so long.
Misconceptions form because we don’t have enough knowledge regarding a certain subject, so we need to make sure that we equip ourselves with the most up-to-date and accurate information.
