Honk, honk!
Read part one here: The Birth of an F1 Driver.
Today’s the day!!! December 15, 2023, Friday.
The ‘P’ stands for people who are taking the test for the second time. We were the firsts to go through the test.
I was the seventh driver, hence P 07. My instructor told me to test the clutch out several times before attempting the test, which I faithfully obeyed.
EVERYONE in front of me made it through the first obstacle, which was arguably the hardest one out of the five. Well… Now I can’t be the ONLY one that doesn’t make it, right? Right?
I’ll just break it to you: I made it. Deep breaths are key.
I semi-released the clutch, and floored the gas pedal (okay, maybe ‘floored’is a bit over). It made a very loud VROOM sound and off I go.
Suddenly everything became hilarious to me after passing the first obstacle. As I was exiting from the third obstacle, the infamous ‘three point turn,’ I happen to come across the dude whom I’d talked to previously when we failed together. I wished him all the best in his test, and he reciprocated it to me.
I’ll tell you about one last thing from the test. The JPJ officer was PISSED at me MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I was driving really slow and kept looking at their direction for confirmation to move on.
At one point, he stood up and shouted ‘JALAN, JALAN, JANGAN LAMBAT, TUNGGU APA LAGI???’ while waving his hand or something along those lines.
Below is a list of congratulatory wishes compilation from my family and friends.
After I emerged out of the test UNFAZED, I headed to AEON Maluri to celebrate.
I was happily munching on my delicious donut, then BAM…
