Thoughts on SPM

Good evening guys!

This morning at school, all the form 5 students had a briefing on how to fill the SPM registration form.

Here’s what the form looks like:

I was in for a shock when I saw page 2. No one told me that there are so many subjects to choose from! I always thought that the SPM only offers a couple of standard subjects like Malay, English, Science and more. To be fair though, I didn’t ask anyone about it.

After pondering for a while, these are the subjects I decided to take:

Compulsory:
– Bahasa Melayu (1103)
– Bahasa Inggeris (1119)
– Pendidikan Moral (1225) Note: Tbh, I don’t really see what’s the point of having moral tests, because we just write what we think is the correct action we should take at that moment instead of actually taking action on it in real life.
– Sejarah (1249)
– Matematik (1449)
– Sains (1511)

Additional:
– Matematik Tambahan (3472)
– Kesusasteraan Inggeris (2206)
– Sains Komputer (3770)
– Bible Knowledge (9221)

TBC: Sains Sukan (4572)

I’ll be dropping my Bio, Chemi and Phy even though I’m a Science stream student. This might seem weird, but actually I don’t have much interest in these three subjects. The truth is, I only got into Science stream because it’s the only stream that offered Advanced Mathematics in my old school (sadly, they don’t have that in government schools).

Honestly speaking, I’ve never been a big fan of exams unless it’s my favourite or okay subjects. After I looked at the list and chose the subjects I really wanna take, I felt a very happy feeling in my heart and I’m actually excited to do it.

Share with me what subjects you guys will be taking and tell me what you think/feel about SPM, I wanna know your thoughts.
